Songahm Star Tradition

December 31, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

WHAT IS THE SONGAHM STAR PERFORMANCE ALL ABOUT?

Each year, students and instructors of all ranks and ages gather together on New Years Eve to perform the Songahm Star.

Attendees will perform the forms together beginning with White Belt and continue through the present highest rank’s form each in the series as far as they know. At the end of the performance, the last one standing and still going will be the highest rank present.

Every year, color belts and black belts enjoy this tradition to reconnect with each other, reflect on the progress they’ve made in 2017, and to remember to keep pushing forward. To honor of the art of Songahm Taekwondo, all are asked to be dressed in their traditional white uniforms, and to try to make this a goal to complete every year to keep the tradition alive in our region.

It is surely a spectacle to see the forms done in unison by students and instructors from all over the state.

Please join us and do as many forms as you know, even if it’s just one or two!
